Am I wrong to Secure my Money by hiding and dividing it around my house and outside?

My husband thinks that I am just being paranoid, but I think that with the loss of jobs of people due to the virus and the continuous thievery in our area, it is only logical and safer to divide our money and hide it in places or things a thief would not be able to find it. Like a crack or behind or under something that is not obvious. I hid a few of the money outside as well, near a tree. I kept it inside a plastic, then put it in a jar and then dug a few feet deep. He believes it will get lost, so I tied a plastic knot and kept the rest of the tie up above the ground so if there is an emergency and we need it, I can just pull it out with one swift. For days I have been thinking of genius ways to hide our money. This is also because a few important things have already been stolen from us before. Even the lightbulbs outside our house once got stolen. That's how people are here. So why would my husband think this is a bad idea? He wants to keep the money all in one suitcase, where these is a lock. The most obvious thing a thief can get. I feel frustrated and angry, knowing my husband does not agree to me and he thinks I am being crazy.

I’d probably forget where I put it. I’ve his things before and forget where or that I even hid them at all.

@Spoiledbrat That's what my husband thinks what I will do too. But all the money I remember well. I'm also very good at finding things, when my husband can't find his things I am usually the one that finds it. I've told him I remember where they are, but he doesn't trust me.
What if there’s a fire?
@assemblingaknob yar.. buried money will turn to paper pulp

@assemblingaknob I sealed it with a jar tightly shut, and even if the bugs can get in, there are two plastics wrapped before the money. if that's not secure enough, I can even make it more secure by duct taping the whole plastic and even putting it in another glass jar. The point is, is it really wrong to hide our money when there have been previous attempts and success of robbery in our house???

@Harper no of course it's not wrong!! lots of people save money in their houses in secret safes, etc.
i'm just saying i hope you can check some sources online regarding some of these things and then make decisions 😬 like if bugs can eat through plastic/duct tape and when do air tight jars give way etc.
we even have an indoor termite problem and silverfish in summers in my area, so that's another thing to think about.
