And refer to said person as their “friend.” The hookup wasn’t that long ago either.

Assuming the hookup was before a relationship I don't see a problem. Being able to trust my partner is, to me, one of the biggest foundations for a relationship. If I am unable to trust my partner, then the relationship is pretty much already heading for a crash.

If this was during the relationship and something that we agreed upon, chances are my partner wouldn't be my partner after that, so that situation wouldn't really be applicable.
