My friend told my crush I liked him, and I don't know why she's mad at me?

It was my first school dance. My friend (who's also a girl, we'll call her S) told my crush (we call him Spaghetti) that I liked him. Even though she promised she wouldn't. I got really mad but I didn't get the chance to talk to her about it. But she kept trash talking another one of my close friends. Then S got mad at me for no reason, I don't know what I did wrong?

Perhaps she is projecting her own feelings of guilt at breaking a promise by being angry instead because that's easier to handle. Sometimes people push others away when they hurt.
Or she is a manipulative bitch, and you should tell her if she feels the need to be judgemental and disrespectful of your friend, it shows she's not being respectful or a good friend to you. Breaking a promise can be big or small depending on what it is, but she has just demonstrated she can't be trusted to confide in. And if she trash talks your other friend, she's capable of trash talking about you.
Honestly, what we dislike about others says a lot about ourselves.

Confront her. Be assertive. Be like, "I feel incredibly hurt and betrayed because you broke a promise to me, and now you have damaged my ability to trust you. I also am disappointed you feel a need to judge (so and so) as if you are better than her. I need a friend that is respectful and trustworthy."
I would also tell her YOU need space from her negative behavior. Set a boundary, and if she cannot respect that boundary, she is not a good friend.

@Starkizzed21: she'll probably just cuss at me, but I'll try it. Thank you

@NatLo16: if she does that just proves a point that she's a bitch.

Don't confide in her anymore. She may know she broke her promise to you so she's gone on the offensive by getting mad at you.

Sounds like your friend has trouble keeping things to herself !!

@Picklebobble: I just really like him. He's nice and I get really good vibes from him but I didn't want to confess because I was scared. He's kind of popular and I thought his friends would make fun of me. When he found out I heard from my friend that he had a light reaction and just seemed kind of surprised (she said his jaw dropped)

@NatLo16: Drop him a line on Facebook or whatever site you folks use these days.
Don't post on his wall. The world can see that !
Just say....sorry if 'S' caused any embarrassment. I said something in confidence that she then went and told you !
If you send it as a message only he can read it.

@Picklebobble: I'll try to do it tomorrow, it's really late right now, I can contact him on social media, but I'm wondering if it'll make it harder to face him in person
