How can I handle my sensory disorder

Ryanoliver2011 · 31-35, M
Which one of your senses doesn’t work?

Oh then idk maybe they make some expensive earphones/plugs that dampen sounds but don’t muffle them? @Lorna

Destroy the sound waves
Exposure... You have to let Ur mind learn to build filters, and tolerance.

You know, how people who live by the highway say "oh, I don't hear it any more"

But easy does it.
Expose till uncomfortable, hang on a little longer,, then remove yourself, or reduce stimulus.

Do you have it? @OogieBoogie
@Lorna yup.

Sound, smells, eyes.

But...even as I've gotten better...i still have my limits... Bit I'm not as sensitive as i was, or rather... It doesn't make me vomit, or give me terrible headaches as much as it did.

Also... I carry earplugs and sunglasses EVERYWHERE I go...even into the picture theatre, supermarkets.

You just never know when Ur gonna be set off.
