How do you see credit cards?

I have no idea why banks are so eager to sell you their credit cards.

Their selling points are : -

Rebates.
Points.
Savings.
Able to spend over your limit.

I still fear the usage of credit card. After hearing all the horror stories.

I can be happy with spending with only that much that I presently have.
