What shoes would go better with a dress

I guess its all personal opinions, but what would you recommend?

I know Flats, sandal flats, and heels go good with dresses, but that's about it from what I know.

Probably more of a strapless, and sundress, and just to wear around like school, or to wear out

What kind of dress? What kind of event?

You are NOT going to wear a strapless dress to school.

@NotReallyAGuy: If it was a strapless dress or a sundress, I'd say sandals and flats are the best options. They keep the style casual and comfortable, as well as cute as long as the colors match.

With a shrug, or something else.

I could see a sundress, but not sleeveless/strapless at school. But other than that, what Hiraeth said.

Okay, I'll take your suggestion.
Hiraeth · F
@MrsKatherineArch: I agree with you. Strapless/sleeveless dresses aren't really appropriate for school, but I think they would be more acceptable in a semi-formal or formal event. I can't say that I've ever worn one before, but they don't appear very comfortable (or safe - I'm afraid that they'll slip down if I ever attempt to wear one).

@Hiraeth: That last thing is a good point.

Me too, Hiraeth (you must have Welsh parents), I am always afraid that there might be a wardrobe malfunction...And no one needs to see.
Hiraeth · F
@MrsKatherineArch: (Nope, not Welsh. I'm Asian haha) I'm glad that I'm not the only one who's wary of strapless dresses. I always wondered how girls were able to flounce around without everything falling down, although I'm certain some people wouldn't mind that happening (ick). Then, there's some people who move really carefully whenever they're wearing one haha!
MrsKatherineArch · 41-45, F
Yeah, I have tried on strapless dresses, including a few wedding gowns. But I couldn't overcome the fear of an epic disaster. And I certainly wouldn't be interested in showing myself to anyone other than my husband. Call me cautious and boring, but ick.
Hiraeth · F
@MrsKatherineArch: I wouldn't consider you boring. I think it's good that you're cautious about who you show your body to and how much you reveal to the public. No one wants to catch an eyeful (unless if you're a pervert lol), so I think you're wise to be cautious about your wardrobe. It's possible to dress modestly and still look fantastic. Besides, what you wear tends to send a message to everyone else, and I'm certain that people think well of you.

I like to think that they do. And yes, you can look really pretty and still be modest-without being frumpy.
