how do you get someone to listen and compromise more with you

When living with someone like family .even tho you know you have your own ways and can be hard to live with at times and are moody and mardy at times.but are tired of feeling like you cant do certain things ,no privacy, been demanded all time .and they refuse to listen that they do that how do you compromise if you cant live on your own cant afford to how do you get them to listen without turning it into more .or dont you and shut up and put up.
