Don't feed trolls - you'll know them by their baiting and refusal to use logic in any measure.
Find some users you like here and follow their posts and replies to join in conversations you might enjoy.
You can post memes, text, pics, links and video; once you learn how to, you can do just about anything.
Remember that there's a real person at the other end of every post, complete with a story and emotions.
Don't take anything too seriously but also don't hesitate to seek opinions and advice - just take them for what they're worth.
You'll get hit up by men and those who feel you might want a picture of their junk. Do with that what you will.
You have a block button for unwanted users, but use it wisely; most mean well here and it's easy to misinterpret things. When you do have a legitimate problem, report that user - the admins here are very responsive in my experience.

Honestly, it's a bit of a nightmare.
I've been here a few months and still can't properly find my way around.
For instance, I can only find a person's story if I have the exact title. Attempts to find their work via their username or the story-group don't work.
I can only find the story via the profile if it was posted within the last 24 hours.
There is no system for cross-referencing.
There is no manual and very little help in the FAQ's section.
In the messages section, if you want to get rid of someone's message and no have them bother you again, you tick the box and then click on the garbage bin.
It comes up with a message asking you if you want to "archive" the message, when it should say "trash". Very confusing, but as far as I know it is trashed, not archived.

Click on that, and you have just become their follower or friend.
In your settings, you can determine various choices - the options seem limited.
If you messaged someone, that might have automatically added you to his friend list.
Somewhere on the home page there is some mention of monitors. They're the ones who collectively scan for trolls and as a team make decisions on who gets banned in response to complaints.
One of them might be able to answer your questions better than I can.
