Getting a dog paw tattoo

I was thinking of getting a couple of dog paw tattoos on the front of my hips. Should I get them small enough to hide under my bathing suit, or should I have large ones that are visible no matter what I'm wearing?

Don't do it. That's one of the three dumb ass tattoos that you will regret later. Animal paws or right up there with Chinese symbols that you don't even know the meaning for and that's stupid barb wire going around your bicep.
