Should I leave?

My family has accepted the man who sexually assaulted me back as if nothing has happened. I plan to spend a few months to a year away from my family since it's effecting me. I love my family, but I can't pretend like I'm okay with the man who assaulted me still being around. Why did my sister not go through with divorce like she said she was :( Should I leave even if they would be against it?

And they know and acknowledge that it happened; that he assaulted you? And yet they still accept him back? Leaving would be very understandable.

@froggtongue Yes it's sad that they can pretend like nothing happened. The only other people who dont like it is my younger cousins. They don't want me to leave but I have to for my well-being.
