well first of all it is your age. You probably don't have nearly the number of creepers messaging you pretend sex out of the blue.
Secondly it is about interaction, not how helpful you are. Until you start being conversational and friendly no one will have reason to message you.
and last, you an always message someone if you are interested in a conversation with them. Lots of people don;t think anyone actually wants to talk to them so they don't bother with trying to reach out.

As to specifically why not you? I have no idea. But when you want something you've to to give it.

Maybe you are luckier than you know that no one has pm'd you, back on EP I got some crazy PM'S for sure, not so much here, but still some are not so great. Why not take the first leap, find someone that interest you and send them a PM. It might start an online friendship. :)
