Any one here has divorced a narcissist ? [I Need Advice]

My advice is to avoid confrontations and start working on an exit plan. This includes:

Finances
Kids if there are any
Family
Friends

Don’t tell anyone about your plans, especially family and friends, unless it is absolutely necessary. You ne er really know people.

It is also very important for you to stay safe, narcissistic behavior includes violence when rejected.

I left a year ago
But it seems like he is constantly breaking the rules and getting away with everything
I know I need to be safe
He broke into my house and took all my belongings including all the documents I had
He has also broken into my office and my cars

It’s been horrible
I don’t even dare moving into a house
I live in a townhome because I’m afraid he might try to kill me

@Niloo I don’t know how he can break in, steal belongings and get away with it. Personally I’d get a security system for some protection.
My situation was a little different because once realizing loss of control she was gone. I know this Covid has made things so much different all around.

@Niloo I hope you took pictures/kept evidence of the things he did. It could come in handy

I used to live in our marital home and he had moved out but he still had the codes and later I realize he has a device that can open electronic car locks and disarm security system
That’s one of the reasons I moved out to a town house , installed a security system and informed the local police of our situation .

I have done all I can but the legal system is too slow and quite incompetent in dealing with people like him

@Niloo Good move! Just make sure you have a panic button handy if you do fear for your life. And can or did you get a restraining order? I know it’s just a piece of paper most of the time but it’s an extra layer of proof.

I don’t have one
It makes it very difficult with picking up and dropping off the kids and other activities for them
But I’m staying away as much as I can

@Niloo Sounds like your doing the right things. Sooner or later he’ll move on to a new victim and you’ll gain some relief. As mentioned before this whole thing with Covid has changed the dynamics.

It has moved our court date back 6 months 😐
Beside he is constantly partying and sleeping around and I’m afraid he might catch it and give it to the kids and me
He has also used Covid as an excuse to not go to work
It’s amazing !!!

@Niloo Mine tried to stalk the court date a few times hoping that I’d change my mind. I also have a friend who’s ex is trying to get back after eight years. Seems without bars and gyms open he has no where to try to pick up women.

Amd you're so right - they work by such extreme lack of ethics, that most people can't even believe what you're telling them!
The police are almost useless.

But remember - this way of acting is CONSUMING HIM!

Think how many nights he spends devising multiple plans to get at you!

He has no life - that's why he's focused on you!

You're doing well. He's going through a narcissistic collapse.... And he's trying to destroy you.

Evidently - he hasn't yet.


And he NEVER WILL!

You're doing an AMAZING JOB!

Most will never understand that these people can actually classify as evil.

So nasty beyond belief!

So cruel beyond the law

So evil in their thinking.


You've outmanoeuvred him so far - and you will continue to be able to.
