A disappointment...

While getting inside the uber, my phone slipped from my hand and tumbled down to the road. I picked it up but when I looked at my dad, he was looking at me with disgust and disappointment. I felt like a loser. I can't even do the simplest things right.

Literally today I just dropped my phone for no reason. It happens. We fumble. I get it tho-the feeling of "well there's one more thing I've fumbled". It accumulates. Life is tricky and I feel perpetually bad at it and like everyone is in on a joke I don't get, but I try to focus on what I am good at and why the people who like me like me. I'm sure people like you for good reasons and that you are good at things.

You another amazing eagle toddler, not dare again forget who you are and what's your truest self and family.
Smile to him in compassion for that's his best (lousy even). And chin up, look ahead, look far far far, I mean physically, as far as it possibly gets then return to him and to yourself and to your phone.
You are loved. Well at least, I love you 😚🤗

Probably was more disappointed with me that I have not bought you a car yet. But you don't know how to drive 😔

You didn't do anything the rest of us haven't done time and time over, including your dad. We're [big]all[/big] blundering beings. 💖🤗

You are not! I have butter fingers and I drop stuff all time. Don’t worry about it

What is your dad like, a narcissist or something?

Accidents happen. Its ok.

There is nothing to feel like a loser in that. It happens even with the most successful people. I think you are thinking way too much about it.

That sounds like it’s more a him problem than a you problem. Sorry to hear you have to deal with a parent like that.

It was an accident and he had no reason to be disappointed in you.
