My life as a failure

I had a teacher once tell my mother I was possibly the brightest student she had ever had the pleasure of teaching. My IQ was once tested by a psychiatrist as 148 (which I believe is near genius level). Yet my life has been one failure after another. I nearly failed high school, my grades in college were so low that I no longer qualified for financial aid, I failed at every job I ever had up until I turned 29 and became a truck driver. I am actually pretty good at driving the truck but technology has been creeping in for several years now and I am having more and more trouble keeping up with all of the computer bullshit I have to deal with these days. Part of my problem is depression, part of my problem is simply giving up too easily. Most of my problem is that the teacher and the IQ test were so ridiculously wrong! I am an idiot! I bring nothing useful to this world. I go to bed most nights hoping...just hoping.

In a world set up all for men to succeed and yet they fail so miserably.
@soulrespite Way to make him feel better, Soul.
@soulrespite not all men fail, most succeed to some degree. I am the only complete loser.

It sounds like perhaps you struggle with either a learning disability or some mental health challenges
@Docdon23 best thing that could happen is to just not wake up in the morning

@istillhaveanameitsrick At this point I would suggest you talk with a therapist. There is help available.
@Docdon23 in my experience therapists are quacks
