I did something stupid...

I wrote a note to my neighbor about how I feel. He told me he is too old for me, so it feels like someone stabbed me in the chest. I hate having emotions about other human beings.

@fluteacorn No judgement, but I agree with him, age gap is probably too big for a romantic thing to work well, assuming you age range listed is right. Just my opinion.
