Do you worry a lot? If not, how do you stop yourself from worrying?

I worry a lot. It's a bad habit of mine. I know that it doesn't do any good and it's a big waste of time and energy, but I just can't seem to stop.I have a job interview tomorrow, and right now I'm really nervous about that. I'm afraid I'm going to say the wrong thing, or maybe my mind will go blank and I won't be able to think of anything to say at all. Any suggestions?

Write down a list of things you want to say.
What you can bring to the job. How you work well with others etc.
By writing them you will reinforce them for the interview.
Before an interview I listen to and sing happy songs to myself.
I know this is late but I wanted to respond.

Thanks! These are great ideas. I'll have to remember these (maybe write these down) if I find myself interviewing again.

When I go on an interview I believe that if the job is meant for me than it I already mine, and no matter what happens it happened for a reason.

That's a great attitude. I'll have to tell myself that. If this job is the right job for me, then it's mine. Thanks!

Yeah, I've tried to prepare as best I can for this interview. I've rehearsed my answers to the questions that I think they'll probably ask, I've come up with some questions to ask them, and I've researched this company so I can let them know what I know about them. I've been told that that's important. So hopefully I've solved the problem. We'll see!

I try to come up with a Plan B

That's a good idea. That way it's not a complete disaster if things don't work out the way I hope they will. I have applied for a few other jobs, so if I were to not get this job, there would still be other possibilities.

That's a good way to think about it.

I actually took Prozac for about 22 years, but I finally, gradually weaned myself off it. I've been off it since January of last year. It may have helped me not get too upset about things, but I didn't like the side effects. It totally killed my sex drive, for one thing. And it also made me tired all the time. But I'm going to go on the assumption that you speak in jest and just laugh along with you.

No, actually I've been on Prozac for about 2 years and it's helped me immensely.

Oh, okay. Sorry to jump to conclusions. If it's working for you, then that's great. I personally needed to get off it. I suppose the same medication can affect different people differently.

Not so much worry, but stress a lot
