If people are allowed to own vicious breed dogs
shouldn't I be allowed to carry bear or pepper spray??

Tjere are no vicious breeds of dogs , its like saying there are vicious races of humans, or vicious breeds of cats.
What makes a dog vicious is its upbringing.
You never hear of problems with vicious chihuahuas, but some of them are downright nasty....but they violence is over looked because of their size .
I've always had big dogs , mastiffs, Danes, malamutes.
And it was an attack from a terrier wjen he was a 8 week old puppy that made my malamute have to be put down years later .
He was terrified of other dogs because of that attack .
And he was fine , unless a dog was aggressive at him , then his fear would kick in , and due to his size and strength...he could have killed .
And it broke my heart that, all little shit of a terrier scarred him for life .
But other than him, all my dogs have been passive , friendly, and in fact, one saved a babies life , and another was a peace maker between others aggressive dogs .
Its not breed.
Its how they are bought up .

When the dog has reached adult size , but not adult maturity.
This is a critical stage for a dog. Its coming into its strength, and is basically a teenager .
It is about training.
It can take years to fully train a dog .

I mean I have read that a lot of pet owners plan to get a pet but they don't plan on training them. They're more lethargic and the pet is a social symbol to bond for them. Why get it? The same goes for kids too. Why be a parent when you can't raise the kids the right way?
Don't do it when they aren't capable of raising them right. I've seen pets attack their owners because the owners were just too lazy to keep them in control.
