If people are allowed to own vicious breed dogs

@SW-User Oh, yes. My meaning was, it should not be illegal to carry self-defense items like pepper spray. if somebody uses it maliciously, THEY should be punished.

@SW-User Odds are they wanted to play fetch - but I completely understand how that could be frightening. Again, it's the owners' fault.

@SW-User Yes, unfair. My dog is gentle and non-aggressive. [b][i]So far[/i][/b]. I always make sure she's well in hand before workmen or visitors come in to my apartment and she's on leash in public.

@Mamapolo2016 You should start complaining to enforcement along the beach. The dog owners who let their pets illegally roam free are too often the same ones who can't ge bothered with training and caution.

@Mamapolo2016 they were in an off leash area which I love, I love petting and saying hello to dogs...but that felt awful and menacing

@SW-User I guess I'd stay clear of the off-leash area, then. A walk on the beach shouldn't peg your stress meter.
