Our Galaxy, the Milky Way...The Solar Cistern...It is fascinating, Man has been to the Moon which is almost 1000 miles away.

We have been to Mars which is over 2000 miles away but we will never go to the Sun as this is over 6000 miles away and we would have to go at night as it would be too hot during the day. Humans have achieved so much but will we ever colonise another planet? The only habitable planet is Venus but that is over 4000 miles away so it would take at least 2 weeks to get their with our current technology but is it possible in our life time?

Solar cistern? What like a cosmic toilet?

@basilfawlty89 As I suspected, but is that not where The Restaurant at the End of the Universe resides?

@AndysAttic well played, mate. I wasn't if trolling or not initially. I tip my hat.

I think you may be under estimating those distances just a bit…
AndysAttic · 56-60, M
@Zaphod42 Are you sure? Dr Kent Hovind was quite certain and he is an alumni of the Patriot University.

@AndysAttic Maybe I had too many pan galactic gargleblasters but I feel they give me depth.

@AndysAttic Pretty sure. I’ve been to New York a few times and the moon a couple times…it takes longer than a couple downloaded movies to get to the moon 🤷‍♂️

U are a little off with the moon more like 240,000 miles
AndysAttic · 56-60, M
@smileylovesgaming Indeed, I was just rounding off the distance.
