As others have pointed out, [i]scientists[/i] are imperfect, and I'd be willing to say science isn't perfect either. However, we puny humans have no better tool for distinguishing true from false.
Flawed as it may be, it's our best tool for illuminating the truths of the universe.

well.. science also have us nuclear bombs... so its merely a tool and how you use it matters

It is indeed. Science might not currently provide answers to everything, but I firmly believe applying the scientific method to all life's problems will eventually get a good result.
That includes the problems for which some people say there's no possibility of a scientific explanation because they somehow defy science. I legitimately think that telekinesis (which I have personally witnessed) and other so-called supernatural phenomena have a valid explanation.
