Ky? Unfortunate. Discplinary problems will increase
BohemianBabe · M
It really is the parents' job, but if they have to sign a permission slip, I don't see a big problem with it. I hope that the parents can at least trust the staff there.

@LaurenRae That's fair, I mostly agree with that. I guess the counter-argument is that so many parents don't discipline their kids anymore, even when their kids misbehave constantly at school. So it's like, if the teachers have to babysit a kid all day, they need to be able to use discipline. But yeah, I also get your take.

@BohemianBabe yeah i definitely think parents need to start disciplining their kids more, 100% but idk i feel like only a parent/grandparent should handle any physical discipline. i am so thankful for my mom because without her i’d have to put my child in daycare & i do NOT trust daycares because of all the abuse that goes on 😭 you literally can’t trust anyone anymore.

@LaurenRae I do wonder if abuse in places like daycare and school have gotten worse, or it's just that now with the internet, we hear about these cases a lot more. It might be like how crime has been steadily dropping since the eighties, but people think crime is worse than ever because of the media.
I don't know, I'm just glad I don't have any kids.

Well has your cousins kids been paddled? And if parents will not discipline there kids then let the schools do it. Yes it’s the parents job but some parents will not discipline there kids.,

@nevergiveup what stopped it? Do we even know what the results of spanking were?

@nevergiveup I remember the time my two year old brother didn't get brutally punched by my Dad in 1969, as he was standing in the high chair telling my Dad ",no!" We waited for the blow and my Dad just laughed. The older kids who would have been screamed with a lunch from our father laughed, too. I was seven, but I understood that people had changed. We're back to 1968 against the world.

Still fully legal in Texas, I agree with you however, it shouldn’t be

Education experts know the results. We tell you the options and your community might choose to beat the kids! The results would be too woke, otherwise. Y'all didn't ask us what would be best for the kids! You hate that woke stuff in the school and community built by money!

I would sign such permission.

Corporal punishment was banned in all US prison's in 1963 yet it's still being legally used on school children in 19 states!

Which state are you?

I wonder about the quality and credentials of any professional teacher who would be comfortable hitting a child in their care.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
Hardly any parents discipline their kids anymore
Roundandroundwego · 61-69
@smileylovesgaming sure. You don't see anyone wrangle a screaming toddler into a car seat, turn their back and slam the car door on the screams. Not in work - merika. You don't see.
