@MrsPeterEvans I had far more corporal punishment at home from my dad than I had in school, and it wasn't banned until 9 years after I left school.

@suzie1960 It makes me feel bigger to challenge them by imposing equalitarian rules on them and sticking two fingers up at their sexist trash. If they want to look big, why can't they think of that?

@NankerPhelge Sexists don't have the intelligence to comprehend the stupidity of their position. They feel big because they're too stupid to realise society is looking down on them.

The headmaster of my children's school tried imposing unlawful sexist rules. I took great delight in watching him squirm when I issued Count Court proceedings against him (personally), the school and the local education authority (as his employer). Having to back down destroyed what little authority he did have and he left the school shortly after.

@suzie1960 Good for you, Suzie! I still don't know how they came to have sexist views in the first place, I distinctly remember rejecting the idea when I was 12 and I never even had such views when I was younger than that.

@loflamo So was I, mainly for deliberately and persistently refusing to participate in PE/games. The truth of the matter was that I'd rather have been spanked than do PE or games anyway. In fact going to the dentist was preferable to doing PE/games and there was one day when I was spanked in the morning for not doing PE/games and then I had to go to the dentist that afternoon. At least I liked the toilet in the dentist's building, so that was something.

@NankerPhelge My spankings mainly happened for being inadvertent or disruptive in class. In my times corporal punishments occurred about once in a week. You weren't fortunate if they fell upon you because they would be used to set an example too by the teachers. They were very formal and consisted in being smacked over the teacher's knee in front of the whole classroom. These spankings were very shameful and you would watch your feet when you went back to your sit afterwards.

@loflamo I wasn't spanked over the knee, I was told to bend over. Most of the spankings took place in the pavilion on the field or in the gym area.
