@reflectingmonkey what is your opinion on them being taught about gender matters, lgbt......., etc. at that age?

@mousmranony a delicate subject right now haha . first , I think that adult sexual identity is strongly related to culture, I don't believe we are born with a sexual identity, I think it develops through experience and culture. I think in the vast majority of cases we are born with a certain set of genitalia and based on what we have between our legs we look at what people with the same junk are doing and we try to follow these guidelines in order to fit in with our culture. I think its very important to help kids identify with the culturally determined gender role associated with their genitalia in order to become happy, adapted adults. this new idea that we should not impose a gender role on them and tell , for example, a boy that he might be a girl will confuse way more people than help. I meditate, when I close my eyes and sit as my "true self" , I am only incarnate awareness, my inner self doesnt have a gender, my body has a gender. i have a penis therefore I was thought to follow a male culturally determined gender role. i am awareness living in a body that has a penis so therefore I am a man.

@reflectingmonkey at our school none of that is taught til high school

@Picklebobble2 sarah for the most part knows kids that attend our church school i guess she may play with some public school kids when she visits her mom's parents every other weekend (in fact shes there now) but thats all. I think her moms main concern is we're pacifist and her mom is in the military i think shes afraid as she gets older her daughter will be bullied because of that

In any other place the thoughts of extended family members plays little or no part in the wishes of the parents.

@Picklebobble2 well if she was around more it would be she sees her mom a few times a year because she stationed to far for more regular visits

@BlueGreenGrey y you say that we teach reading, writing, math, science, social studies, cooking, sewing, art, carperntry etc all the stuff a child would learn in public school and more. the religious aspect of their education isnt that much for a christian school
