What was your favorite game at recess?

I grew up in the inner city and we only had a giant cement lot to play in. No swings, no slides, nothing. NOW, they do have many additions at my old elementary school incuding playground equipment.

But back then we had to bring our own chalk and jump ropes. I loved Hop scotch!! Loved jumping in the center of two people holding a jump rope too. Those were fun times :)

In primary school, I and a few mates played brandy. One boy would have a tennis ball and the object of the game was for him to hit one of the other boys with the ball as hard as he could. The idea was to leave a red mark from the ball (hence why called 'brandy'...as in branding). If he managed to hit another boy, then that boy had control of the ball. Great fun, but some of the teachers on yard duty disapproved saying it was dangerous, we could hit someone in the face. Never happened.
