What was your favorite game at recess?

I grew up in the inner city and we only had a giant cement lot to play in. No swings, no slides, nothing. NOW, they do have many additions at my old elementary school incuding playground equipment.

But back then we had to bring our own chalk and jump ropes. I loved Hop scotch!! Loved jumping in the center of two people holding a jump rope too. Those were fun times :)

A big concrete slab with a half dozen basketball backboards and goals. Also 4 handball courts. No sidewalls or back wall, so it was handball played with tennis balls that slowed the game down to a manageable speed. Real handballs are much harder, have no fuzzy skin and have far too much bounce for just one wall.
