What was your favorite game at recess?

I grew up in the inner city and we only had a giant cement lot to play in. No swings, no slides, nothing. NOW, they do have many additions at my old elementary school incuding playground equipment.

But back then we had to bring our own chalk and jump ropes. I loved Hop scotch!! Loved jumping in the center of two people holding a jump rope too. Those were fun times :)

Hopscotch was where it was at when you had blank concrete before you. There’s a spot downtown where they painted a really pretty and colorful hopscotch spot for kids. I still hop on it when I’m there though. Had to teach my kids how to play it recently because it was something they never played at recess. But every time recess came around for me I ran to the tetherball. Absolutely loved playing that.
