@OldBrit The school assembly hall was always varnished for our return in September. We were made to remove our shoes so we didn't scuff the surface. I remember sliding around in my socks and getting told off for horseplay 😊

@Royrogers You can do a lot with a set of folding wall bars and some mats 🙂

@SunshineGirl Phys Ed was separate for girls, so yeah, for all I know it did look like that. I mean, if I was talking to a girl, I didn't ask "hey, Mary Lou, can you describe your PE class in detail?"
