How come some schools start school in late July?

That’s very early!! Some students or teachers don’t get much time off. My former neighbor’s grandson starts school July 27th. That’s very early! Why not start August or September? When I was in school, school started in August like the second week of August.

When I was in school it usually let out right about Memorial Day and started back up the day after Labor day. I don't remember exactly cuz I've been out of school since the early 90s but I seem to remember that

Kids get many more breaks (through out the school year) than we did. Each state has a set number of days or hours that they have to be in school - I would guess that is a pretty universal number but I’m not sure

I honestly don't get y our local schools don't start in Sept they want to complain so much about money with public schools and they have to run those air conditioning like crazy with it in the 90s

Hete in Florida they start Aug 10th. Yet in Pennsylvania they start in September. Different parts of the country start different times.

We start back on 4th I teach at a private school but we follow the public school districts calendar for most part

Ours always in June, and started in September... to avoid the heat of summer at school.
