Sounds like maintenance didn’t do their jobs this summer.

@Soph03 they can afford to repair those locks, faucets may cost a bit more but they should be doing those too, that’s just basic stuff. Yeah replacing toilets that aren’t broken just to keep the kids from sitting in the bathroom too long is probably what ate up the maintenance budget. But too many are going into bathrooms and playing on their cell phones. It was happening at Walmart where I worked with the young people, they’d say they were taking a bathroom break and go check their FB messages of other young workers. One greeter told me that on his last day of work. Here I thought he had a bowel issue or weak kidneys and he was just playing around.
Soph03 · 18-21, F
@cherokeepatti that's true but I think if people are being lazy they would not sit on the actual toilet but stand around by the sink with their friends or whatever. Some people might be unwell and be in a lot of trouble if they can't stay on the toilet
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Soph03 yes I agree. They were going into the stalls and texting so nobody would see them in their. This addiction to texting is so bad that when young people get traffic tricks and get sent to classes given by highway patrol and police officers they are told to turn of their cell phones in these classes at the beginning of each class and then in each class there is at least one that gets caught and is told to turn off the phones or they curse the instructors. They get sent to more classes for texting and driving, every class they take costs them more money and if they don’t complete them they will lose their licenses. I was told this by a man who had to take a number of classes and this happened in each class without fail, at least one if not many more would do it. They’d try to be sneaky by putting the phone in their pockets and text that way.

I thought the Netherlands was a sensible place. At least it always seems that way when I pass through it.
Soph03 · 18-21, F
@ninalanyon it usually is but I think beuracracy is the same everywhere
FrancescaB · 22-25, F
I mean that's just degrading but I've definetly seen it with schools and companies that lack respect
Soph03 · 18-21, F
@FrancescaB that money can be used by people for so much better
FrancescaB · 22-25, F
@Soph03 I've gone to many schools and always found the ones that managed their money well also managed better education
JustJordan · 26-30, F
This is really degrading stuff 😩 i bet the students were not consulted
Soph03 · 18-21, F
@JustJordan we have a student council but nobody consults them
JustJordan · 26-30, F
@Soph03 sounds like the HD board all over again. DM me with how the Aberdeen comp went!

@cherokeepatti when I went to the USA I saw girl scouts having to sell a lot of cookies outside supermarket's and I hear they are under pressure
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Soph03 It’s a competition to them and their main fundraiser. But yeah, using children to sell stuff grates on my nerves. There are people though that look forward to it every year and they’ll buy a dozen or more boxes of those cookies.
JonLosAngeles66 · M
@Soph03 I love Girl Scout Cookies!

FrancescaB · 22-25, F
@SW-User I've seen those in Asia. Definetly wouldn't recommend

SW-User
Yup 👍🏻. I’d sooner slip into an ally or nearest forest 🌳. Lol @FrancescaB

That is disgusting if that was their intent.
Soph03 · 18-21, F
@samueltyler2 They said as much at the start of the year which makes no sense because if you're skipping class you hang out in the bathroom not sitting on the toilet

SW-User
Hoping this was an accident in the way they were built.
Soph03 · 18-21, F
@SW-User nope just usual punishing students for nothing

SW-User
@Soph03 Thats bad and doesn't help then.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
some rimes bureaucrats do the darndest things. I wonder if they actually thought out what they did?
Soph03 · 18-21, F
@samueltyler2 I missed the first day back but apparently they announced that's why they did it and apparently the design is being used in businesses around the world for 'efficency'
Strongtea · 22-25, M
