School making no sense as usual

So today was my first day back to school since last summer. We had broken faucets and locks in the bathrooms but did they fix them? Of course not! They installed new toilets (the last ones weren't broken) that are pointing at an angle to the floor so your knees start to cramp if you spend more than 3-4 minutes on them. They said it was to stop people from hiding there during class but we had major issues that needed the money more. Just stupid school politics

Sounds like maintenance didn’t do their jobs this summer.

@cherokeepatti the school is usually very clean where people can see and we have a really good caretaker but things like plumbing the sinks, fixing tiles and fixing locks which requires money to be spent are not done but they could afford a plumber to fit these new toilets??

@Soph03 they can afford to repair those locks, faucets may cost a bit more but they should be doing those too, that’s just basic stuff. Yeah replacing toilets that aren’t broken just to keep the kids from sitting in the bathroom too long is probably what ate up the maintenance budget. But too many are going into bathrooms and playing on their cell phones. It was happening at Walmart where I worked with the young people, they’d say they were taking a bathroom break and go check their FB messages of other young workers. One greeter told me that on his last day of work. Here I thought he had a bowel issue or weak kidneys and he was just playing around.

@cherokeepatti that's true but I think if people are being lazy they would not sit on the actual toilet but stand around by the sink with their friends or whatever. Some people might be unwell and be in a lot of trouble if they can't stay on the toilet

@Soph03 yes I agree. They were going into the stalls and texting so nobody would see them in their. This addiction to texting is so bad that when young people get traffic tricks and get sent to classes given by highway patrol and police officers they are told to turn of their cell phones in these classes at the beginning of each class and then in each class there is at least one that gets caught and is told to turn off the phones or they curse the instructors. They get sent to more classes for texting and driving, every class they take costs them more money and if they don’t complete them they will lose their licenses. I was told this by a man who had to take a number of classes and this happened in each class without fail, at least one if not many more would do it. They’d try to be sneaky by putting the phone in their pockets and text that way.
