His definition of social life is very limited/ narrow.. Social life to him is going out with friends and probably going to concerts clubs or bars and maybe doing other things..
He does not seem to realize that being at home and interacting with His kids and partner is a Social activity.. It can be a very fulfilling social activity too if one is living in a positive and loving family environment..

@SweetFantasy Sounds like he feels trapped.. That being a dad and a husband is a burden.. Like being a slave / servant.. That's usually the case when guys lament like that.. Maybe his relationship with his wife and kids is loveless/ toxic..
SweetFantasy · 26-30, F
@Adstar he does seem burdened and stressed sometimes when I see him he is alone in deep thought and irritable sometimes
Adstar · 56-60, M
@SweetFantasy Yeah sounds like married life does not have many positives for him..
LucyFuhr · 56-60, F
Anyone here would only be guessing, maybe you should ask him?
BeefySenpie · M
It's saying he takes his role as a father seriously even if it's at times tiring. It's saying nothing directly about his relationship status or health, so I'd avoid guessing

Maybe he just feels like the kids take up all his time and he just can't..without more context it's neither positive or negative
Nayla · 56-60, F
He means that once you have kids, there's not alot of time to socialize. I had that experience too.
SweetFantasy · 26-30, F
@Nayla that is the best way to ask without asking lol I will try thanks
Nayla · 56-60, F
@SweetFantasy Does he wear a wedding ring? Have you checked out his social media? You can get alot of information about a person there
SweetFantasy · 26-30, F
@Nayla we have the same way of thinking. He has no ring so I assume he's not married (but someone commented not all men wear their rings) he doesnt have social media I cant find him but I found his friend and his friend is married with a ring so I dont know . I will ask without asking and if that doesnt work I'll just ask if hes married or with someone. I just don't want him to think I want him if hes with someone else.
Men usually say exactly what they mean ...work and home and no time to play......so maybe its a open invitation to you

@SweetFantasy he helps a lot of people and prob get hit on by a lot of other women also....he would prob just break your little caring heart.....rather let him chase you if he is interested.....play hard to get like most women do
SweetFantasy · 26-30, F
@Justsimple he isn't necesarily eye candy or confident. He's often by himself not socialising but observing everything. I've witnessed another girl trying to flirt with him and giving him bedroom eyes and he shut her down he wouldnt talk to her and would turn his back to her whenever she came close. He doesnt like people who come on strong apparently and I never have I think he sees I'm reserved like he is. So when I make a bold move like are you married he may tense up
LavenderTown · 36-40, M
It's just an excuse, plenty of people with kids have a social life, if he has kids and wants to date, then he can afford a sitter. If he has a sitter he has the time for a social life. Coming from a man, ill tell you this is precedence for paperclipping, where over and over he will get close to you and then push you away with no consideration for you're feelings until you go insane.

@LavenderTown hello fellow Yahooer!

parents who say things like that are just making excuses. i mean you can still take your kids to bars and do a lot of fun things with them
anyway you should probably ask him what he means if you’re that interested lol

@SweetFantasy yeah you are. probably best to stay away if he has a partner though
SweetFantasy · 26-30, F
@SW-User all the fbi work I'm doing is to out his status so I can pick my heart up off the floor and move on lol cry
SW-User
@SweetFantasy lol
chrisCA · M
He is playing the sympathy card.
chrisCA · M
@SweetFantasy I'm not sure. Attention, or a medal?
SweetFantasy · 26-30, F
@chrisCA maybe he would want my sympathy or someone to vent to?
chrisCA · M
@SweetFantasy Sounds like whining to me.
KA9ha · 31-35, M
it means neither... The plain logic implies that he is involved deeply with his kids and devotes full hours towards their growth.. He may not have time for the person asking....
SweetFantasy · 26-30, F
@KA9ha nobody asked him, that information was offered up. Curiousity made me ask here.
496sbc · 36-40, M
one yes he us telling u he is single but its best to ask. cant hurt. and he really may have no one to watch the kids so he has to.
SweetFantasy · 26-30, F
@496sbc you really think he's saying he's single? I think that's wishful thinking!
496sbc · 36-40, M
well i can say this if u dont try and ask u wont know will u @SweetFantasy
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
I know men with kids who say they dont go out much & dont do anything cause they have little kids to take care of
Gingerbreadspice · F
It probably means he’s just bored. You or someone asked so he told.
SweetFantasy · 26-30, F
@Gingerbreadspice i didn't ask, he just told me he has kids and started saying that he has no social life.
Gingerbreadspice · F
In these times. Talking to people is something to do. People are struggling to pick up their social lives after Covid lockdowns I guess. Maybe he was trying to get somewhere with you or maybe he just said it for attention.
It sounds like he envys the fun his friends are having
SweetFantasy · 26-30, F
@questionWeaver hes of the age where I think all of his friends have settled down or starting to
AngelKrish · 26-30, M
Complaining or he can't date simply....both ways no
PrivateHell · M
He has someone
DDonde · 31-35, M
He might just be saying it as a throwaway comment and there's nothing more to it.
REMsleep · 41-45, F
Hes probably in a relationship
