If a man says to you he has no social life because he has kids, does it sound like he's saying he's single or complaining about his relationship?

I don't know if hes with anyone but for him to say he has no social life since he has kids who are under 10yrs old. Does that sound like he's saying he's single and can't date? Or he isn't having fun with his partner because of kids. I know it could be either but which sounds more likely to you? Hearing your opinions would be helpful. Thanks!

His definition of social life is very limited/ narrow.. Social life to him is going out with friends and probably going to concerts clubs or bars and maybe doing other things..

He does not seem to realize that being at home and interacting with His kids and partner is a Social activity.. It can be a very fulfilling social activity too if one is living in a positive and loving family environment..

@Adstar so if he has someone does it sound like hes complaining to me about his relationship?

@SweetFantasy Sounds like he feels trapped.. That being a dad and a husband is a burden.. Like being a slave / servant.. That's usually the case when guys lament like that.. Maybe his relationship with his wife and kids is loveless/ toxic..

@Adstar he does seem burdened and stressed sometimes when I see him he is alone in deep thought and irritable sometimes
