Yes. When you have a relationship with with someone with kids, you have a relationship family, and the entire family has a relationship with you.

If you're asking for a "friend", you should tell them that they need to be ready to make sure that the six parties involved in the relationship understand the lay of the land, that there are no surprises, and set the expectstions right. Life is not a Hollywood sitcom or feel good series.

And by the six parties involved, I mean:

- Your "friend"
- Her kid(s)
- The kids' father
- Him
- His kids
- His kids' mommie
