@Kaetana i think my current concept of things is some form of Zen. I take no issue with peoples' beliefs in deities but also not willing to limit ones mind to the rituals and writings surrounding the name of any particular cultures' creator(s). I think it is better to imagine that we are all united as being like waves on an unnamed sea of energy. All part of the same field or dream of an entity curious about life but does not interfere with it. That being said, i do not believe that any existing established "religion" on this world can claim to be the "correct" one. No culture can claim to be perfect or the chosen one. All are flawed. All are part of the same sea

@Tastyfrzz Okay I see what you mean. Before my walk back toward God I experienced the same thoughts as well. I always believed there was a God.
But trying to interject some logic into the matter. I thought where choosing or to even consider a religion . Why would I put all of my eggs into one basket, when so many are saying they “Are the One”

It just didn’t make sense. So instead I decided to simply respect the tangible gifts if you like that this world offers , ie Nature, Animals and marvelled at man’s ability via herbal medicines to heal ourselves naturally .

Like you I could logically justify , being a believer of Spiritual rather than a Specific religion.
But then. I just felt , this ideal was a bit too convenient , I after arriving at the threshold of using manifestation to improve my life (& by all accounts it was working) my spirit rather than become settled, Spiritually I became slightly restless again!
Although I was patient because I just knew I was almost at the truth.
Then I asked myself another question , if you respect Nature which clearly didn’t create itself, You’ve observed the power of Manifestation . But even then there is no guarantee you are learning this from a pure source.

Why don’t ditch the ‘ 3rd parties ‘ and cultivate a relationship with the one who Created it all?
& co-incidentally ( God as a way of interjecting at the right time)

I was expecting an item of furniture to be delivered, and was experiencing the most awful flu. I said to the guys delivering , “I’ll stay at a distance at distance because you don’t want to catch what I’ve got “😅
And one of the looked up at picture hanging on my wall .. it’s of the last supper. & he said ah your a Christian , I can see your suffering would you like us to pray for you. & I thought this is a bit strange, none the less kind. So said yes please .

He then joined hands with me & the other delivery guy who was a christian also , and began to pray , and for the first time in my life ever I experienced a shift in me, I know now it was the ‘Holy Spirit’ my physical didn’t leave right away . But my endless searching for the Truth & Light in this world did. Soon after I renewed my walk with God , and my questions were answered . Prayer as become an every day staple , and I’m answered. My life is now an updated and much improved version of what it’s ever been.

I feel fortunate Amen 🙏🏽

I realise that it’s no wonder Christ ian’s keep trying to share this phenomenal amount of Peace we get from knowing God.

Apologies for my lengthy testimony , but your response is a reminder of my personal journey toward rebounding with God .

I guess we could say he’s half way there. The first step is acknowledging ‘Gods Existence’ the second step is to believe he can help.

@BlueSkyKing some people can find the concept of prayer, to be so much more than it needs to be .
I would say first one would need to ask themselves do they wish to not buy into the myriad of perceptions ( you’ve kindly mentioned a few) of what a relationship with God should look like .
& instead focus on what ‘They Themselves ‘ need the relationship to be.

That way they will be nearer the truth,

@BlueSkyKing there are a several ways one can prayer
: Speaking a person message to God it might be a message of thanks for the blessings you are enjoying in your life.

: you may have a personal, worry concerning your life or that of a family member,
: you may a select a scripture from the bible to read silently and offer an additional request pertaining to the scripture.

Then you might pray collectively as part of a Church or online congregation .

Point is how you choose to pray is personal and up to you , fact is the more that you do the easier it becomes .
Some folk hold back because they feel self conscious. Others just aren’t sure of what words the words they should use.

A prayer offered sincerely is all that really matters , eloquent words do not come into it. Amen

@fun4us2b this reason is typically when folk choose to Pray.
I was only saying this evening, there are people who plead atheism is the way to go. Should there come the occasion, they have a loved one or themselves are seriously sick or injured, they offer a ‘please God Can you, will you’ type of prayer.

I don’t condemn or look down on them , for the hypocrisy. Because I know when someone’s back is against the wall, ie they are about to go under the knife for a 9 hour operation.
At such a vulnerable time they hope to receive Gods grace. He is our Heavenly Father it’s natural that they would.

I just think it’s a real shame that a relationship with God isn’t cultivated outside of these moments. As they would get so much more blessings outpoured over their lives.

Often times, folk become so worn down by the influences of the world we live in , or they feel an amount of personal shame. That they feel unworthy of Gods loves or that they have ventured too far down the rabbit hole for redemption.
Yet this couldn’t be further from the truth. Jesus Yesua . Died for our redemption .

The invitation to return to the light will be there until the last trumpet sounds Amen 🙏🏽
