If a religion is telling you that you will never be good enough and nothing you do matters beyond submitting to faith...

Then that isn't the product of a loving divinity. That divinity is not morally good. It's like being with a narcissist that abused you to keep you dependent.

"You'll never be good enough without me."
"Being good to other people doesn't matter, you only need to be mine."
"The people who criticize me are the real bad guys."
"Look what YOU made me do. Never forget what I did for you because of you."

Mostly posting this to annoy one sided proselytizers trying to strawman critics and deleting posts pointing out how weak and demented their analogies are.

You need the Church of the Fonz.
Everybody say heeeey.

@GeniUs The fact that there aren't more of the two thumbs up emoji reactions on this post is most certainly evidence towards the lack of a loving god.

@ViciDraco Thank you for bringing that to my attention this just means people like me hadn't noticed the emoji, he's still there.

No one is born a sinner - babies are innocent. People become sinners because it is in their nature to sin and sin covers so many many different areas of the human decisions.

If a person picks up a science book and read from the origin of the universe and the origin of life on Earth and compare it with the biblical account they will see the account coincide with each other but then one needs to actually study.

The countries that actually believed in God are the ones that consider themselves free and democracies and are the most powerful and their foundation was based on belief in God of the Hebrews of the English Bible.

It is your right and each and every other individuals right to feel whatever they choose to feel about the deity that is considered God the Creator..... Do so and continue to do so _ the choice is yours you have heard of him and you reject.

The day is coming when the Lord is going to return with his angels coming from the sky and people will be running around screaming and trying to hide from what they see coming screaming alien invasion - alien invasion...... As it was in the days of Noah so shall it be in the coming of the Son of Man. The Angels mingled with mankind and since 1947 there have been a lot of alien abductions _ crafts seen flying around by military personnel, two presidents of the United States, law enforcement, airplane pilots, astronauts, highly educated and regular people around the world. Military personnel just testified before Congress a couple of years ago about what they see ----former president Barack Obama made the statement that something is out there in the sky and they don't know what it is ------- Trump started a Space Force ---------former presidents Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter so UFOs and reported it --------- and there is so much more but then you don't believe in that kind of stuff ....... So when you see Christ coming back to judge the Earth note this: those high ranking military officers talked about how these UFOs had the power to shut off their equipment - shut down their missiles. Traveling faster than the speed of light - can appear and disappear at will - go from air to Sea.

Can I got to add this *** all the ancient cultures all around the world spoke of such beings that created the Earth and man and came from the sky, that they called Gods and is written of in the Bible _ and you people call them fairy tales, sky Daddy, myths.

Goodby

I feel this.

@BlueVeins I'm not generally going to begrudge people of their beliefs if they find them helpful. And there are some positive aspects like community building and coping mechanisms in the face of grief and when things are out of control.

But I'm really sick of those who try to spread the message that no single person is good enough. We are already facing an epidemic of self-esteem issues throughout society as it is.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@ViciDraco I used to believe that and it's an awful belief.
One of my biggest reasons I reject religion is the idea that as soon as you are born, you are a "sinner". How, logically, can a helpless baby be guilty of "sin"? No one has explained that and, to be honest, I don't think anyone can.

And then, the idea of a "creator" of "heaven " and Earth is just too insane to contemplate.
True religion never says a person isnt good enough if he/she keeps trying to please God.

Job's 3 socalled comforters made that false claim about not being good enough to please God and that was a blatant lie. God never said people are never good enough to please Him. Satan the Devil promotes that lie. JOB 4:17-18
If a religion is teaching that lie and misrepresenting God like that, then flee as fast as you can from that religion because it is teaching lies about God and His son Jesus.

Exactly. Christianity is designed to wear on your self-esteem so that you become completely dependent on an authority figure to make you feel better about yourself.
