Another thing I don't know what to think of in religion is the idea that everyone deserves to go to hell.

So basically all humans deserve to be tortured mercilessly forever and ever when we die is what that means. Does that include children as well? If not, what age do children start to deserve to be tortured endlessly? Is it when they become adults at 18 they start deserving it, or is it at a younger age maybe teen/preteen?
I'm sure people will say that's up to God. But what's your opinion on the matter?

Think of it in this way.. Only perfect people can enter into an eternal perfect existence.. Because once an imperfect person entered into a perfect eternal existence it would no longer be perfect because it would now contain an imperfect being...

The Bible declares that little ones live for a time without the knowledge of good and evil.. So if a little one dies during their time of innocence they have not sinned and therefore are perfectly acceptable to enter Gods perfect eternal existence.. The Bible does not give an actual age where this status dies.. I think it may be different for each individuel..

This is where i need Faith.. Trust in God.. If it where up to me and if it was possible i would cause these people to cease to exist.. But i trust in Gods final decision on the matter out of Faith..

@Adstar I do trust in God, that he loves us and protects us always. I feel annihilation is more likely due to not only it being less cruel and making more sense. But also in John 3:16. Whoever believes in the son will not perish but have everlasting life. Perish means cease to exist, not tormented forever and ever. I do know other verses do seem to imply eternal torment, but I suppose it's all in translation also those are from different authors

@Adstar that's true. Let's say you leave those toddlers with a bunch of candy that they can eat, but leave another kind of candy out and tell them not to eat it cause it will kill them. Then also allow once of their siblings in whom you know will successfully trick them into eating said candy. Idk just seems weird to me. That's kinda an analogy for the fruit and Adam, Eve and the serpent.
