I would blame God, because it was all his plan from the start, right?
DailyFlash · 56-60, M
@DunningKruger well God is supposed to be the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Holy Trinity makes up God.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@DailyFlash So it was, then, a form of suicide? Sure. Makes as much sense as the rest of it.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@DunningKruger No, he was a demi-god, like Hercules -- born of the union of a supernatural sky being and an underage Jewish girl.
The Jewish leaders called for his death and the Roman’s did it. Or if you want to see it differently, a powerful religious nation demanded and a republic carried it out.
easterniowegin · 51-55, M
Jews wanted it, romans allowed it.
DailyFlash · 56-60, M
@easterniowegin the Romans executed it.

the Jews were asked, if Jesus should be put on the cross or a thief put on the cross, the Jews for some reason picked Jesus, yes the Romans nailed him to the cross but only because the Jews picked him instead of a thief

Crucifixion was a particularly Roman method of execution and only the Romans could execute anyone
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@bookerdana "Probably originating with the Assyrians and Babylonians, it was used systematically by the Persians in the 6th century BC. Alexander the Great brought it from there to the eastern Mediterranean countries in the 4th century BC, and the Phoenicians introduced it to Rome in the 3rd century BC."
I was taught that the agency of Christ's crucifixion was irrelevant to the narrative and its deeper meaning.
Allelse · 36-40, M
Well in the story it was all part of god's plan, god's creation, so it would have been god behind it all.
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
The Romans, pressurised by the Jews, influenced by Satan!!
Ontheroad · M
I wasn't there, so for me, it's just hearsay anyway.
