@Shakealot Life is hard. When it seems to get harder, some of us crumble, some of us persevere. I have learned that It‘a not going to get easier! so you have to work at it. The idea of retirement is a sales pitch. People who accept this early on, and who look at life as a set of challenges, it’s like a scary roller coaster ride? like a fun race or fun competition something new to conquer are happier and more fulfilled. Do something that you believe in, as often as you can 1) for yourself and 2) for others.

@Shakealot You've received some kind words and good advice from posters. Take comfort in that.

However, from your description of your situtation, as a man I would never get involved with you. This is based on observation of what other guys have gone through when they have gotten involved with women in similar circumstances as well as my own experience. Sure, some guys would be willing to love you and your child or children, but such relationships rarely survive very long. The guy ends up feeling used because the woman and the kids rarely, if ever fully commit to him. There is always something missing, and over time, everyone expresses their discontent and unhappiness with the situation. In some cases that can lead to violence.

I wish you well. If you do get involved with a guy who is willing to accept your situation, be sure to treat him very well and never use him.
