Do you ever have deja vú?

If you do deja vú, how do you explain it? What do you think it is?
LiLShrimp · 22-25, F
I actually have it sometimes. Sometimes I will see things that I already saw in my dreams, even dreams from years ago that are oddly still in my memory.

@LiLShrimp we have many different ways and means in our lives and bodies that can do so much.

You remembering vividly dreams from long ago is different.

I’m a divergent thinker. I anticipate what’s going to happen next pretty accurately. Not all the time.

A new experience I remember having.

Too many theories to know for sure, but the one that makes the most sense to me is the mind is trying to associate that particular moment with a previous moment. However, because none exist, the mind kinda glitches. This is why the sense of deja vu feels like an entirely new experience(because it is) while also feeling like a memory(because the mind is trying to access a non-existent one).

I haven't had one in a while, but I have had them. They're pretty weird. I had one once that lasted about 30 seconds. I don't know exactly what causes them, but it has something to do with long term memory mixing with short term memory, maybe. idk
You are lackadaisical you see something but it doesn't register immediately. It bypasses the conscious mind but does register in the subconscious. Then when you think about it you have a memory of the event.

I think it's one of the supernatural things. Like we have those little portals to the unknown, where we take a peek 🥴

@SW-User I get something like deja vu.

It’s more a prediction thing that happens within 5 minutes before it occurs
@SW-User Interesting.

Yes The best explanation I can think of is that sometimes time is not linear.I had one where as a deja vu moment started I remembered it all before it happened then it played out as I remembered.

I have it often and it’s actually caused me to take actions that kept me from being killed or damaged. I have theories but I don’t know how it happens.

Ever had Jamais Vu? It's the opposite of Deja Vu.

You have asked us this before.
Didn't you just ask us that? 😳
