Polar bear tanning.

What's the lowest temperature at which you've tried tanning outside?
We had a cold snap recently, but the sky was totally blue, and the sun was bright and inviting,🌞
-- so I decided to lie out on my roof deck, totally nude like on any sunny day at high noon, and see what it would be like. It was 4C/39F. The very occasional light breezees felt really chilly, but as long as the air was still, the bright sun felt warm and totally comfortable. 🌞🥰
I lay out for half and hour, and was glad I'd given it a go.😄

Don't do it anymore, but I've scooped snow off the pool deck and tanned naked in the full sunshine. Wasn't cold at all until a cloud covered the sunshine.

@luv2fish
Yes, it's all about the full direct sunshine.🌞🥰
Instant difference when a cloud passes.🥶

@onewithshoes We live a nudist lifestyle. It's very liberating. We weren't raised that way, but found it much more comfortable.

No, it's not about fighting the cold at all, nor is it about how long you lie out.
It's all about the power of the Sun to warm you!🌞
On a cloudless day with bright, noonday Sun, you skin can actually get quite warm even when the air temperature is so low that you'd have felt quite cold in the shade.

@onewithshoes you are right. It’s why we love the sun. Take care and don’t burn!

I think I could cope with a warm roof, so long as my feet didn't get wet. It's great to top up with vitamin D at this time of year 😁

Is there room on your roof for another little one? 🙂
OliRos · 18-21, F
Yes, the Sun is, to state the obvious, hot. It doesn't get any less hot because there is snow on the ground.
Bet your nipples perked up when the wind blew a little. 😜

Once last month we had a warm day even though it was technically winter. The snow was melting but there was still quite a bit in one section of the back yard. My back was killing me, so I decided it might feel good to strip down and lie down in the pile of snow. So I did and it felt amazingly good.

I have walked the dog nude in snow in winter in the past. However, I have a higher tolerance for cold compared to some others so I can be outside tanning sooner than others
Dacrowman · 70-79, M
@UKNaturist you walked a nude dog 😮

Honestly, could never do it myself, but would be more than happy to observe. 😏 Unless I was told to tan to be rewarded, then I'd be undressed quicker than a peeled banana. Lol

It’s certainly possible to fight the cold for a short time. And somehow being nude makes the cold seem a bit less. Maybe something about expectations?

As a child I once got scolded by my dear mom for going outside in the snow in my bare feet! 😭😭😭 I prefer being barefoot so I didn't understand why it was not a good idea to go outside in the deep snow in bare feet! ☃️☃️☃️ However my dear mom knew how much I hated wearing socks so she let me play in the snow wearing big thick wooly boots without socks! 😁😁😁 In the snow I always wear warm thick wooly boots with no socks! 🤗🤗🤗 YOU ARE SUPER AWESOME! 💖💖💖

@MommyLucy
My boyfriend is alway barefoot, so he's barefoot in snow often enough. It's no big deal.
I even tried it myself once, just for a minute on a fairly warm day when it was melting, and it actually felt really nice.🙂
MommyLucy · 36-40, F
@onewithshoes Awwwww! 💖💖💖 I agree that being in bare feet in the snow is really nice! 🤗🤗🤗 But also sooooooooo cold! 🥶🥶🥶 Like Elsa from Frozen has got hold of my twinkle toes and froze them! ❄️❄️❄️ YOU ARE SUPER AWESOME! 💖💖💖

Sounds like something I may want to try. As long as the wind isn’t blowing.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
28F, on my apartment's balcony, but only lasted a little while, i may have been spotted.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
Did you notice the drone overhead?
onewithshoes · 22-25, F
@samueltyler2
Never noticed any drones, but see planes over me sometimes, and I refuse to let them disturb me.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@onewithshoes do you try to show off to them?
onewithshoes · 22-25, F
@samueltyler2 No, but i don't try to hide either. I just Ignore them. 😏
jackson55 · M
I enjoy being nude in the sunshine but that’s alittle chilly for me.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
How badly did you burn?
onewithshoes · 22-25, F
@samueltyler2
I never burn at all, because I'm always very careful of my time in the sun until I'm very well tanned.
I have a friend who deliberately lets herself burn, thinking she'll get a better tan that way, but I'd never do that.
I'm a whole lot darker than she is by midsummer anyway.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@onewithshoes dermatologists will explain that even a tan means your skin is damaged. As a kid we were told to go out and get sun. Now I am having precancerous lesions removed at least once a year, and had one nasal and one squamous cell cancers.
Feuerstern · 51-55, M
Sounds nice actually.
