I didn't waste my time on someone...I just lost my best friend.

When I retired I lost contact with all my friends. I miss her the most because she was one of the few that I didn't feel like an awkward geek around (the boy/girl thing aside). I could actually look her in the eye, which never happens. I may never have that again, but I really need someone to talk to now and then. That is why I'm on here.If that happens good deal, if not then I'm out nothing....

I'm sorry you lost your best friend. Are you unable to track her down on social media? Maybe you could send her a message from another platform like Facebook or Instagram if she's on there.

@ChampagneOnIce Thanks, and thank you for the chat. I do much better conversing this way then in person and groups. I just don't have the chance to get on the computer or on here much.

@paulisretired I understand. Some days I have more time to be here than others. I mostly just reply to messages and comments.

@ChampagneOnIce Yeah, it seems to be kinda that way for me. I'm busier now than when I was working 60 hours a week with the OT. I have a honey-do list that bends that imagination LOL

If she really is the best?
Then do your best to show everyone (especially her) why you are her best friend.

In order to find a good friend, one must first be a good friend.

It worked out for me.
4 years of being apart after spending damn near 30 years together!

I couldn’t find nobody better for me.
She wished and prayed for me to get better.

Then the best thing happened to our friendship thus far. 😍🤩🥸😎🥲😂🤣🤣🤣

@SandWitch I seem to recall that, in the past at least, if a man lived 5 years past retirement he was doing good. Maybe that is why people kept working...because when you stop moving, you stop. I guess?
