What age you had the most painful breakup?

I was 23 when the woman I thought I would marry dumped me for my best friend. I never got over it. I'm 73 and still single. I've never been able to trust anyone, male or female, ever since. They made each other miserable for 15 years and moved on. I'm still here.

25. Left a toxic situation. Best move I ever made.

It's still painful every time people have to remove me from a group or dump me, or fire me or frame me for a violent crime and have me removed by police because they are facing charges for assaulting me. It's just as hard as being ignored by Daddy because I kept getting bitten by the baby and wouldn't bite him back.

Well I’d say I had my heart crushed at about 18. We weren’t actually together though but I had feelings. It ended in death. I’ve also been having my heart broken for the past 6 years

I think the most painful breakups are when your are a teenager or in your 20's. I find as I get older, I can take rejection much more easily.

Never had a bad one. I chose most to break up. I move onto better. For me and my life.

Probably 17. First love is so irrational and hard.

17 was pretty bad, as was 20, but the dissolution of my marriage at 36 was the one that had the biggest overall effect.
