I always think about how I can get everything I want from the one I am with
I just have ask or lovingly manipulate, rather, let's say steer my partner to get there.

other people bring with them other things that'll irritate too

I have never cheated, but I was the side piece and knew it for about a year. Wish I could go back and change it. It was a real low time in my life, he treated bad, and at the time that's all I thought I deserved. I broke it off, but never told his wife even though I had many opportunities.

But I did it only when I was traveling alone. Never have done it when I have been home.

I cheated once when I was 19-ish. I was in an abusive relationship (first real relationship). Eventually I figured out how to leave. Never allowed myself to be trapped like that again.

I’ve never been the side piece intentionally though. I was 21-ish I did have a guy claim he was in an open relationship, which turned out to be another life lesson for me to always confirm with the other person before anything happens. I felt really bad when she came to me obviously upset. My actual takeaway from that was resounding ‘No thank you’ to all future non-monogamy scenarios lol…
