Would you marry a high-ranking royal person?

I am no longer anything like a prospective spouse for - well, anybody - but I’m interested in how you see the role of being a royal spouse, in any monarchy.

It’s my belief that it must be just plain awful. What do you think?

I wouldn't. My earlier generations had to go through a lot of traditions and customs. Some of which didn't make sense to me, 'cos they were restricting and meaningless. The titles were abolished during my parent's childhood times. The world has changed a long time back. lol.

Like any citizen, I want my future generations to thrive and prosper. So a suitable partner with similar mindset would be ideal.

No, I would strongly dislike the attention

But, in all honesty, don't a lot of people already act as if they should be treated as royalty

I say, we are people....all born of the same genetic code (with some minor differences)
It's our character and behavior that should dictate how we are perceived and received
Not by some societal standard and expectation
Despite all the obvious perks, don’t think I could bear to live in that fishbowl. I’m already a horrible perfectionist but having to actually be perfect every time I stepped out of the house? I’d need a Xanax drip and a psychologist on speed dial.

I don't think I would handle all that attention no matter how much I loved and adored my partner.

I could only imagine it if we're talking about royalty in some really tiny country that nobody pays much attention to.

If I were married to the Princess of Andorra, I imagine we could travel just about anywhere outside of Andorra and not be recognized!

However, I just checked online, and Andorra does not have royalty.

So much for that idea!

I'd sure like to try! I'm definitely princess material 😂

I have always thought of myself as royalty. My personal kingdom usually extends above some forest, field, mountain and beach. I tell myself how I own the place. Then I tell myself how as a princess/queen I need to focus on my arts and cultivate those, be cultured and refined. ;)

I likely never would have allowed a relationship with a person in that position to ever get that far along.
do I get to be a princess
@JimFarris16 I guess that’s my question. Would being the Queen of a nation seem to you like it would be a good thing?
JimFarris16 · 22-25, M
@Mamapolo2016 Oh that's what you meant, being a king would be a good thing to me.
CreyvinMoorhead · 36-40, M
@saragoodtimes HRH the Queen
KimberKimKim · 31-35, F
I am probably a little too rough around the edges, blunt, promiscuous and tattooed for any royal family to accept me! 🤣

If I could be reclusive and have everything payed for, it would be a nice dream instead of a nightmare.
pedrohedgerow · 61-69, M
I wish to leave this world with my soul intact.
@pedrohedgerow Same here.
Lostpoet · M
Is she cute though
Adrift · 61-69, F
After reading lady Dianas book, the answer would be no.
She was lonely and she couldn't have a private moment to sneak a fart without the paparazzi making a gig deal out of it.
chuck7882 · 61-69, M
Probably not something Id want to deal with

Being a professional wife is like my nightmare
JimFarris16 · 22-25, M
Depends on how she looks.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
No, not even one of the Scandinavian monarchies, which are relatively low key. The degree of public prurience into family life is insane.
MethDozer · M
Yes, on the condition of nl prenup because I am divorcing them and taking half.
@MethDozer How romantic.
bowman81 · M
I have no idea. I never got close enough to any royalty other than a royal pain in the ass, and marriage to that is out of the question.
@bowman81 No, it’s not out of the question. Trust me on this.
Harmonium1923 · 56-60, M
Absolutely not. Pure, unadulterated hell.
@Harmonium1923 That’s my perception.

@RodneyTrotter1 I don’t understand the whole monarch m/citizen relationship. But then I’m from the USA.
