My mother just told me she feels distant from me after my marriage. I dont know what to do with that information

I too do not feell as close to my parents after my marriage. Its depressing

It's called adulthood, independence, being self-reliant. Should be celebrated by both of you. Don't fall for any guilt trips by helicopter parents unable to celebrate a job well-done in parenting you. Enjoy and celebrate your life until you become the filling in the sandwich generation, and have to hover over them while finishing raising your own kids.
