While a marriage license is nothing more than a tax on marriage, the ceremony is what can be important to two people who want to share their union with loved ones, but not even that would be necessary in my opinion.
@calicuz Not having been to any weddings myself I can't conceptualise what the whole gamut of those are like except from what is commonly portrayed in movies and on tv shows.
