No, nor did I expect my partner to change theirs I'm not a needy, dependant type, willing to lose my identity for the sake of fulfilling someone else's needs.

Yes I have.. I used to be a good kid until the physical, mental and emotional abuse kicked in and I just lost all hope and became an addict to weed, alcohol and pills ,_.

Nope. But different people bring out different aspects of it. And we do become like the people we spend most of our time with.
