So I started dating the man of my dreams but I'm feeling super self conscious about myself. He is super fit and I'm not. Should I let him know how I feel? Also does this make anyone else feel self conscious?

He obviously likes you. So don't be insecure. You look pleasant from your profile pic, but it's not just about looks.

I don't agree with the advice 'you can get fit'. Don't join a gym because of a man, it reinforces needy behaviour

@JKerouac: thanks. I mean joining a gym is more about me and my self esteem.

@WanderLustChick: If you're joining a gym for you, that's fine. But if you're joining it because your new guy makes you feel like you should. Not the same

@JKerouac: it's me. I'm the one picking at myself.

@WanderLustChick: If the guy is the motivation behind you going, because you feel inadequate around him, not because he has asked you. It will reinforce needy behaviour. You'll be doing more and more to feel better around him and be less of yourself.

I think the gym is a good place to go. But i think you look good already, from what I can see. Low self esteem will not let you see yourself in a good light. And in extreme cases this leads to bulimia and anorexia, not that I'm saying this is your path in any way

@JKerouac: damned if I do damned if i don't...haha

@WanderLustChick: I think joining a gym has many health positives. I'm just talking extremes, but keep it in mind

@JKerouac: I know :)
