Judgemental?!

This posts shows you can be as well. But do not paint all in the same light. Not all are. Sadly, a lot of them have had bead experiences in life and it has made them biter and the way you speak of.

I find people do be judgemental or not, [i]regardless[/i] of their age.

Who said all older people are judgmental? That statement is judgmental. It depends on the person.

Don`t paint us all old farts with the same brush. Please. Not all of us are judgmental.

They've made some bad mistakes, and have a hard time dealing with watching youngsters repeat those same mistakes.

Then [i]some[/i] are just as crabby as all get out, and mad at the world. I stay clear of those type negative people.

It's unfair to put everyone in the same category. It really depends on the person. Not ALL or even MOST OLDER people are judgemental. Depends on their background, how they grew up, ...their personality.

Ouch! That sounds pretty judgmental. Not all older people are judgmental. I'm not. I accept people for who they are. If you find that some are, simply steer clear of them. You don't have to hang around them .

For the most part we hate to see the young ones making the same mistakes we have

sometimes concerns and advises seem judgemental for a older one having suffered something akin could just be in a advisory mood

Some older people become more cynical and judgmental as they get older. Their memories and experiences are vastly different than those of the younger generation. Sometimes, you have to remember that they grew up in much different circumstances. And with any kind of judgment, it is way more important what you think of yourself than what others think of you.

Well not all older people are so judgmental..

part of it is level of maturity

A lot of us do not wish to come across judgmental. We just lack the skills needed to hopefully persuade the younger generation from making the same mistakes we made and suffered the consequences; hoping to spare the younger people from the pain and heartaches we went through at your age.

Because they remember the mistakes they made when they were young?

I think a lot of people genuinely do forget what it's like to be young. The mind is always keen to flatter our memories

Hi I am older and I like to think that I still remember what it's like to be young and am not judgemental.

It's one the lessons they learned from their elders.

Because they know what many youngsters don't...

I never judge anyone

young people are surrounded by people trying to shape them. Those people are usually older...parents, grandparents, teachers, religious leaders. That appears judgemental, because it is.

People are who they are and as they get older they usually be come more so. If they are judgement old they were when younger, in my opinion.

Yes. Most of us do remember. A lot of stuff was dumb when [b]we[/b] did it, too. 😅
