So how would you feel if an ex came to work at your job?

Seems like a great idea.
Horrible idea, run away.
Too close to call.

A company that I've been working for part-time since 2019 has an art contest every year, and this year she's been nominated as a semi-finalist. No guarantee she'll win, but they do sometimes hire the participants. It's been a few years since we broke up, and honestly I think she could be a good fit for the company. I have a good relationship with the company, but I don't know how my history with her would affect it (if at all).

Unless there is serious anxiety produced by it, just keep your professionalism about you and it will be fine. If it doesn't, that's what HR is for.
Don't run away and quit like someone just suggested on here Lol. 😁 Unless you're fearful for your safety and wellbeing.

I don't have any exes, and my wife is still friends with most of her exes. Having one around at work would not be a problem.
He saw me at his years ago. He messaged me to say I looked well and happy. I didnt know he was there

I'd be fine with it, but I don't have bad feelings about any exes, and my last ex was decades ago. 😄

I do work for the same company as my ex. We just ignore each other unless we have to talk related to work.

lissah · 36-40, F

I'm retired but since I was the boss I would have fired her.

She’s an ex for a reason. The interview wouldn’t get past me based on my position in the company anyway.

@Adogslife does she work
Adogslife · 61-69, M
@Scousspeter depends which “she”. the divorced ex doesn’t need to work. the stalker ex does work and is very good in sales.
🤷‍♀🤷‍♀🤷‍♀

My private life is my private life... I see no reason to drag it into the workplace with me.

I'd ask her were has she been for the past 3 years

I worked with my ex-wife before, and also my soon to be second ex-wife. It sucks. There is never any time for yourself because you are always with them.
rachelsj · 22-25, F
Don't think it would bother me
Younameit · F
It depends on their reasons. But it would suck regardless lol. If both are on good terms and don’t hate each other then it’s probably not a big deal. Only if there is no feelings involved
She wouldn’t get in the door.

It wouldn't be ideal
Zonuss · 46-50, M
It doesn't matter.
I don't want her anymore.☺
